  • scott davis

After growing up in Ft. Lauderdale, Scott met his wife Marcie at college in North Carolina. And it’s been happily ever after since then! They’ve had a wonderful time enjoying how God has added to their family. Scott and Marcie have four children: Chloe, Kylie, Caleb, and Colin who have added much joy to their life.

Prior to serving at Northside, Scott has served churches in Florida, North Carolina, and Kentucky. While completing master’s and doctoral degrees, Scott served as the Director of Recruiting and Admissions at the flagship seminary of the Southern Baptist Convention, helping to lead expansion in the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral enrollments at that historic institution.

Training and experience have built a strong commitment to the local church into Scott’s heart and he is passionate about helping people discover the immense joy to be had in being a follower of Christ. Scott seeks to be a passionate communicator of God’s Word, to encourage people on to serious discipleship, and to foster a love for the Gospel that seeks to spread the name of Jesus both locally and internationally.

Dan was born in Florida and raised in Tennessee. He moved to Louisville, KY to attend Boyce College, where he met his wife, Alyssa. They have one daughter, Amelia, who was born in June 2019. Prior to serving at Northside, Dan and Alyssa served as missionaries in South Asia with the International Mission Board.

Dan oversees all of our discipleship ministries, from our Sunday morning classes to our small groups. He also oversees our ministry to youth and their families. He is passionate about making disciples! He loves teaching God’s Word and helping others to grow in their faith in Jesus. He also loves being outside and eating good food!

  • Scott Crouch

Scott's passion for children and their lives began shortly after the birth and adoption of his oldest son, Phillip. It was then, the Lord allowed him to see the different melds of family it takes for a child to live in today’s world and many of them without salvation and the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ. It is Scott's desire to see the children not only accept Christ as their savior, but also for them to have a solid base and deep roots in the Lord to rely on as teenagers and adults to carry them through life.

Scott has served in many children's ministry roles. From teaching Sunday School to Chairman of Board of an After School / Summer Program before becoming on staff at Northside in January 2011.

Scott is married to his wife of 30 years, Kelly, and they have two sons, Phillip and Sam. They live on an 8 acre farm in Chester.

  • Colton guffey

Colton, a native of Rock Hill, attended North Greenville University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. While living in Greenville, SC, he met his wife Holly and somehow convinced her to marry him. They currently have one son, Theodore, who was born in October of 2019.

Colton is also on faculty at Providence Classical School of Rock Hill where he teaches Latin, Ancient History, Literature, and Christian Studies. He has a passion for teaching God's truth both in the classroom and through leading our congregation in worship through song.

He is very thankful for a son who is calmed by his singing and guitar playing as it makes practice a two birds, one stone situation.

  • Joel Talley

Joel is a native of Asheville, NC. Growing up the son of a pastor, he lived in North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina. Joel is a 1986 graduate of Winthrop University, where he met his wife, Michele Berry Talley, of Columbia, SC.

Joel and Michele have three children: Zachariah, attending Clemson University; Lesley, 16; and Alivia, 14. Joel has been in music ministry all of his adult life, both on church staff, as well as leading in regional conferences, retreats, etc.

Joel's favorite activities are performing, year-round, at NarroWay Theater, in Fort Mill, SC, and all things "Clemson".

Most importantly, he holds firmly to his favorite Bible verse - Jeremiah 33:3; "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known".

  • Ben neiconi

    worship ministry intern

Ben was born and raised in Alabama, then moved to Rock Hill at the age of 12. He's the oldest of four, and has deep connections to his family. As of now, Ben attends Winthrop University where he majors in Sports Management. Although he really enjoys sports, music is a close second.

Ben's passion for music is rooted in leading others to grow in their faith, not growing in their talents. Due to being close in age to youth, he loves the connection between him and students. He hopes he will be able to carve the path of students to use their gifts to service of God and leadership of others.

Even though Ben loves music, ironically enough he has never been to a concert!
