We are committed to missions.  This is non-negotiable because our God is a missionary God!  He sent His Son to save us and has given us a similar mission to spread the message of His Gospel.

Mission doesn't just involve one place. Acts 1:8 says "you shall be My witness both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." That doesn't mean that all mission focuses on these three Middle Eastern areas. Rather, it implies that the Gospel spreads out in concentric circles from a central location. In New Testament times, “home base” was the Jerusalem church. In our day and age, it is the local church.

In that same manner, Northside seeks to do missions everywhere. We don't see a distinction between local missions and international missions. God has called us to be Great Commission Christians wherever we go. We're glad to have a variety of partnerships that help us fulfill God’s call for us to join Him in His mission.

We serve the hungry and homeless through The Hope House and the Bethel Men's Warming Shelter.

We serve children and families in need through Midtown Ministries, the Palmetto Crisis Pregnancy Center, Northside Elementary, the Christian Women's Job Corp, the Children's Attention Home, and Samaritan's Purse.

We serve college students through the Winthrop Baptist Campus Ministry.

We serve special needs adults through our “God is So Good to Me” Sunday School class.

We also go beyond the borders of South Carolina. Currently, we partner with Cedaridge Ministries in Williamsburg, KY to serve the needy and homeless. We usually conduct several trips per year.

We have an active partnership to support international church planting with missionary partners in India. We usually plan at least one trip per year.
